No, your 2004 Kia Amanti will not automatically recognize a new transponder key. You must program (or "marry") the new key to the car’s immobilizer system before it will start the engine.

If I buy a new transponder key for my 2004 Kia Amanti, will my cars' computer system read it so my car will start or do I have to "marry" the two together?
