Look Up the FCC ID or Part Number
Check your key for an FCC ID (usually printed or engraved on the back or inside).
Example: FCC ID: TQ8-RKE-4F43, 95430-N9050, etc.
Google that FCC ID + “chip type” — if it says ID46, ID47, 4D, 4A, etc., that means it has a transponder chip.
If your fob has an ID47 or 4D/4A chip — it definitely has a chip.
