2008 Saab 93 - Clone remaining key purely for immobilizer/starting function

Read the other Saab questions below, mine is a little more detailed. Not looking for remote/central locking just the immobilizer to start the car as a backup plan.
Want to be able to clone/copy the last remaining key. All the forums say GM Tech2 is required, but there is a single YouTube video of a guy using an Xhorse Key Max. I believe the immobilizer chip is a PCF7946 (so is that considered ID 46).
If I want to use the Xhorse mini, do I need to buy a Saab key (with their immobilizer chip), or just the plastic shell + Xhorse chip and glue inside (I'm thinking it should work with the Xhorse chip)?
If so, where can I buy single Xhorse chips (or maybe 2 to make a couple of keys)?
Will these clone/copies get out of sync with the car over time if not used frequently?

According to Xhorse VVDI supports cloning and programming Saab vehicles, However may require additional software or subscription for Saad vehicles.
