You could transfer the chip to the shell, but you need to cut the blade

I am trying to help a single mother in my church get her worn out transponder key replaced so she has dependable transportation. I am thinking I might be able to remove the working transponder chip from her only programmed key if it can be placed into these shells? For the time being, I showed her how to use the test key blank that is cut to factory specs by the local dealership with the worn out transponder stuck through the hole in the head of the test key in the ignition and it works to keep her mobile for work. I am 75 and on SS, otherwise, I would pay to do this through a dealer or locksmith! Thanking you for your reply! Bob
